Freedom of speech, freedom of religeon?

If this isn't the end times I don't know what is.

Article from Fox News:

Couple Ordered to Stop Holding Bible Study at Home Without Permit
Thursday, May 28, 2009

Pastor David Jones and his wife Mary have been told that they cannot invite friends to their San Diego, Calif. home for a bible study — unless they are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to San Diego County.
"On Good Friday we had an employee from San Diego County come to our house, and inform us that the bible study that we were having was a religious assembly, and in violation of the code in the county." David Jones told FOX News.
"We told them this is not really a religious assembly — this is just a bible study with friends. We have a meal, we pray, that was all," Jones said.
A few days later, the couple received a written warning that cited "unlawful use of land," ordering them to either "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit," the couple's attorney Dean Broyles told San Diego news station 10News.
But the major use permit could cost the Jones' thousands of dollars just to have a few friends over.
For David and Mary Jones, it's about more than a question of money.
"The government may not prohibit the free exercise of religion," Broyles told FOX News. "I believe that our Founding Fathers would roll over in their grave if they saw that here in the year 2009, a pastor and his wife are being told that they cannot hold a simple bible study in their own home."
"The implications are great because it’s not only us that’s involved," Mary Jones said. "There are thousands and thousands of bible studies that are held all across the country. What we’re interested in is setting a precedent here — before it goes any further — and that we have it settled for the future."
The couple is planning to dispute the county's order this week.
If San Diego County refuses to allow the pastor and his wife to continue gathering without acquiring a permit, they will consider a lawsuit in federal court.

Holding On While Letting Go

Holding on while letting go. Now that is an oxymoron if I have ever heard one, but that is indeed what God spoke to me the other night. If you have followed my blog at all I guess you may know a little about me. I am a man who identifies with my apostolic faith. I believe in Acts 2:38 with all my heart. Why is this important, well not too long ago I came out of the Charismatic movement(never felt saved or right with the Lord) and felt empty. Now I'm truly filled. I recently became out of work along with hundreds of thousands of other people, and been seeking after answers from God. Because I am yet still flesh, of course frustration has set in and even a little depression. I have so much I want to do for Him before he calls me home, but I haven't had time or $$$ to do any of it(more frustration). I cried out " Lord what do I do?". He answered in His usual manner for me(in my sleep) and said, "Hold on Shawn, but let go of it, it's Mine, I have to be in control." I woke confused and wondering. Hold on...but let go....how can I do both. Well going on with my day I came across a website that was talking about how apostolic thinking is outdated and to reach the lost you must become more "modernized". It really got to me...I left a church because it sought to be like the world. "he that is a friend of the world, is an enemy of God". Then it donned on me, Hold on to the word.....keep to my faith. Let go......God is in control, He will provide......He will make a way for my ministry. My brothers and sisters I hope this some how helps you as it has me. I love you in Jesus' name and pray you hold on, and let go!

Love

Ahh the word Love.
For most it brings the thoughts of romance to mind.
So lets look at that.
Have you ever romanced the spirit of the Lord?
Have you been so in love with God that you cried?
That you feel so filled that you almost burst?
Often times, we experience that when we first come to know Him.
But then, with time it becomes more of a routine instead of a relationship.
How sad!

Remember the first time you tripped in your walk.
How it felt almost like a break up,
Feeling heart broken, just trying to get back up and trying again.
The pain, the embarrassment, the let down.

Now lets look at loving people.
The hardest thing to do is love someone you don't like.
You know you have to, but there are those people that just push your buttons.
How can you love someone you don't like?
I believe that there is good in everyone, and have at least one attribute I can admire.
No, it's not easy, but it is worth it.

God help me to love the way you do! I want to love others as much as I love you!

Power is in the BLOOD

Jesus was there in the Beginning.
Jesus was there in the Old Testament.
He robed in flesh, suffered, shed His blood, died and rose again
in the New Testament.

Throughout the generations He made many promises.
He has never failed, never lied, never forgotten.
He has never seen the righteous forsaken,
or faithful wanton for bread.
It was all paid for.
Purchased for the price of His Blood!

There will be healing in your body...
if you accept that His blood paid for it.
Your provisions will be met....
if you accept that His blood paid for it.
You can break addiction...
if you accept that His blood paid for it.
You can be saved...
If you accept that His blood paid for it.

The hard part is realizing that we are guilty of that blood.
Just like Able in the OT.....his blood cries out...
I, Shawn Poarch, am guilty....I accept my sins
required His blood.

It doesn't matter how deep the baptismal is..
how long you are held under.
It ain't baptising till you accept the blood.

What price are you willing to pay?
Could you give it all? would you be willing to sacrifice for someone
you've never met?

I can see it coming

Revival is returning to Grace Tabernacle of Edna Tx
Many times people want revival.....but have no vision
Other times people have vision......but no works
The outreach fields are ripe, We are working in the fields,
People are visiting, we have a plan for retention and growth
We are being obedient to God's word, We are following His
examples. I can see revival...it is approaching! I must be ready.
Our church must be ready, we must bind together with our sister
churches because the overflow will be great. Will you join me in
one mind and one accord with Jesus? Love each other in Jesus'
precious name.

New President, New World Order

Novus Ordo Seclorum(its on the dollar bill) translates in to New World Order.
Although I must support my country, I am concerned of our future. The liberal gov't is seeking to tear the fabric of what this country was built on. I foresee our leaders to transform us into a one world gov't spoken of in Daniel 7, and stripping us of the God given rights we currently enjoy. I can find solice however in the fact that the bible tells us that if this is the case, the rapture is near! I must say that the people have spoken and I am glad that as a country we have over came the race barrier. But, I caution anyone who worships Obama as the bringer of change. I am not saying he's the anti-christ, but the scriptures says that the deceiver will come as an angel of light. Be vigilant, study God's word, and pray! Put Jesus first in everything you do, know that He's in control!

War Cry

Joel 3:9 Proclaim this among the nations: Prepair for War!
Wake up the mighty men
Let the men of war draw near
Let them come up.
Beat your plow shears into swords
And your pruning hooks into spears.

Yes brothers it is time for war! The harvest is ripe and the enemy seeks to plunder. We are in a time which the bible says that the greatest revival of all time should be, however our churches worldwide are in discord. So, satan is reaping what God said is ours.

As christian men we have grown weak. We let God to be taken out of our Govt's, our schools, and now even our homes. Men what happened to prayer lives? Why don't we fast like we use to? Why cant we boldly profess God's word with out fear of losing congregations? In short we have lost of battle skills, all the while our enemy has surrounded us.

Mothers and fathers put down the remote and pick up the word. Brothers and sisters push away from the computers and get on your knees and pray! Children put down the games and praise Him as you should. Be bold, be strong, Be the warrior God called you to be. You can win souls, and you can make a difference. The lost are counting on you, so pick up your sword and fight!
