UPCI General Conference 2010

Wow, it has been a while since my last post. I have had a lot going on in the last few months. On top of going back to college after nearly 18 years, and serving an Awesome God in our local community it seems like I can barely catch my breath. I had the opportunity to attend our General Conference in Houston TX, I stand ten days later still in awe of the mighty out pouring of our Lord Jesus. I have heard the numbers of people receiving the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues was as high as 4500 in Houston alone, not counting the thousands world wide. I know that God isn't through yet!!! In Victoria we will see the same spirit of revival fall!! If you are in Victoria TX, and are seeking after God and want to experience his Spirit first hand I invite you to visit our church, Celebration Church of Victoria. We strive to be just like the first church that Jesus established in Acts chapter 2. The formula for salvation is still the same:
1. Believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior
2. Repent of all your sins.
3. Be baptised in the name of Jesus, its the only name that saves!
4. Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost which is evident with the speaking in tongues as
God gives the utterance.
We want everyone who seeks a closer walk with Jesus to have just that. My wife and I would be happy to meet with you and discuss God's word, and introduce you to our pastor! Our contact information is:

Jesus loves you my friends and so do we! Be blessed in Jesus name!!!!

God is moving and we are following

Praise the Lord everyone! What an awesome past few weeks we have had! We have had tons of visitors and several families that have decided to make Celebration Church their home. Seems like the Holy Ghost is moving in every service again. People are praying through and some even being delivered from Drugs, Alcohol and Cigarettes.....Praise God! Our anger management class is starting to be filled again, and I feel there are more coming. I thank the Lord Jesus for all that He's doing right now. I'm thankful that our pastor is sensitive to the spirit and follows after the Lord. OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Till next time...

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Shawn

Thank God for Good Wives

Getting ready to go to work today and preparing for my next bible study I just really started thinking about the woman who really is my soul mate. My wife and I really are each others 2nd half. I don't think I'd be where I am today with out her and God. I love her more than I could ever love another woman ever. She has been my rock. She makes me smile, laugh, even when I'm in a bad mood. I am so proud of her for standing for Godliness and being the proper lady that she is. Thank God for Good Wives.

The Truth Prevails

Brothers and Sisters,
I love to tell of the marvelous things that Jesus has done. Jesus has brought a scattered flock back together again . He has installed a truth preaching man of God who is not afraid to preach the whole bible. I am proud to say that our church is Apostolic once again. I see the future out reach in to the community is going to be tremendous. God is opening doors for us that we couldn't have imagined. In my previous post I spoke of a wonderful Lady named Diana, and her passing. She is an example of the mighty power that God yields when we rely on Him. I want to see more people out there that are hungry like she was. If you are hurting, hungry, wanting real change......come, we have a God that can help.

A new friend gone, but not forgotten

I was at work yesterday when I got the call...
My wife called and told me our student has passed on.
Diana was a student of ours recently...
She was trying to make life better for herself and her sons.
She always spoke of how God was moving in her life and how things were changing.
She talked about her desire to help others who have gone through the same tough times she did.
How proud she was of her sons, how she loved her family and the Lord.
She was so thankful for her job and all her friends.
She was nearing graduation from our class, but God called her to the head of the class and graduated her with honors.
We are praying for peace for her whole family.....God bless.

Thank you for continually blessing us!
I pray for your revival of the lost, there many in need of you.
Send them Lord, and we will love them.

Calling the Laborers

Jesus said” the fields are white but the laborers are few. Never has there been a time in which this was more true than today.
Economies are failing,,,, Earthquakes,,,,Sunamis,,,,Floods,,,,Religeous freedoms being stripped worldwide. Wars……and rumors of wars…….Crimes that cannot be imagined are being carried out everywhere. Fathers and mothers are abandoning their families.
THERE IS A DEEP SEEERING PAIN AROUND US AND EVEN AMOUNG US!!!! There is an outcry for answers…… there is an outcry for understanding. We have the answer that dwells among us and in us.
Yet, there is apathy in the church. The dictionary defines apathy as: lack of enthusiasm or energy, emotional emptiness.
Often times we hear “I’m too busy”, “I just don’t have time”. The priorities of the world have started to overshadow the call of God.
Has what I just said convicted you at all? Or just made you angry? Are you saying to yourself “I need to rededicate myself to God’s mission” or “Oh he just doesn’t understand……my kids….my job…I’m tired….”
Let me ask; when you attend church service…do you go to an alter without the pleading of the preacher? Or do you begrudgingly go when called? Is there nothing within you that needs repentance? Do you want a re-infilling of the Holy Ghost?
Joel 1-3 (New International Version)
Joel 1
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel.
An Invasion of Locusts
2 Hear this, you elders;
listen, all who live in the land.
Has anything like this ever happened in your days
or in the days of your forefathers?
3 Tell it to your children,
and let your children tell it to their children,
and their children to the next generation.
4 What the locust swarm has left
the great locusts have eaten;
what the great locusts have left
the young locusts have eaten;
what the young locusts have left
other locusts [a] have eaten.
5 Wake up, you drunkards, and weep!
Wail, all you drinkers of wine;
wail because of the new wine,
for it has been snatched from your lips.
6 A nation has invaded my land,
powerful and without number;
it has the teeth of a lion,
the fangs of a lioness.
7 It has laid waste my vines
and ruined my fig trees.
It has stripped off their bark
and thrown it away,
leaving their branches white.
8 Mourn like a virgin [b] in sackcloth
grieving for the husband [c] of her youth.
9 Grain offerings and drink offerings
are cut off from the house of the LORD.
The priests are in mourning,
those who minister before the LORD.
10 The fields are ruined,
the ground is dried up [d] ;
the grain is destroyed,
the new wine is dried up,
the oil fails.
11 Despair, you farmers,
wail, you vine growers;
grieve for the wheat and the barley,
because the harvest of the field is destroyed.
12 The vine is dried up
and the fig tree is withered;
the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field—are dried up.
Surely the joy of mankind
is withered away.

Will you stand by.....will you watch as the fields are left to rot? Or will you rise up will answer God's call for you.
