R-E-V-I-V-A-L

Joel 1 : 14 Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry out unto the Lord.

It's revival time....are you ready? God is calling us out and bringing us unto one mind and one accord. Everyone is needed! Each saint has a talent that God gave you for this time! Prayer warriors its time to dawn the whole armor of God and dot the eye of the devil!! Armor bearers raise your pastor up in prayer and fasting. Ministers bring the Word that throws down the dominion of hell. Those with the gift of healing be prepared, the sick and hurting are coming.

The call is here!
The time is now!

Can you feel it? God has already anointed it!
It shall come to pass!
GOD WILL DO A MIGHTY WORK!
Miracles will be done in Jesus' name!

Charismatic or Ba'al Worship?

There is no denying that there is a lot of "pentecostal" churches that are becoming charismatic. More and more, "self" is being taught before the Word. Its all about feeling better about yourself and becoming wealthy. Conviction has lost its way from the alters a long time ago. People say that Jesus says that he wants us to be happy! I ask, happy in sin? The Old Testament says sin is death. Where is the happiness in death? If these churches are making people so happy then then tell me why are drug companies are making a killing on anti depressants? I've also been told....We have the Holy Ghost.....we dance....we sing...Is it the Holy Ghost or the spirit of self adulation? Let me clearly state my theory: The charismatic or "self" movement is in fact Ba'al worship!

Who is Ba'al? Ba'al or Ba'al Zebub(Beelzebub) is one of many names of Satan and his fallen angels. One of the first things you need to understand is that Satan seeks division between God and man. No matter how much they profess to serve Christ, no matter the positions that they have in the church where ever self becomes the object of devotion....that is where Ba'al worship thrives. Ministry is where the danger most lies. It's among the ministry that a kind if ladder climbing fraternity has been established......as is office could build ones character. Where there is coveting of promotion, office seeking with privilege and power as a motivation on ministries, there in lies the prophets of Ba'al. LET ME NOW CLARIFY...I DO NOT THINK ALL CHURCHES ARE THIS WAY!

Just how far has many churches fallen?
*Idolatry- places of praise, worship, and prayer have became social outlets where you can sip on coffee while watching music videos. Its all about whose church is bigger or newer.
*Erasure of doctrine and standards- no longer do churches worship the one true God of Israel...instead dividing God in to three(polytheism) which is how Ba'al worship began. Its ok to dress how you like.....they have taken Holiness and obedience out of the plan of salvation.
* Degradation of the great commission- when was the last time you seen a who church knock doors or witness? Usually its one or two devoted members who take up the slack.

Well here is what I do know: My God answers by FIRE! The kind of fire that us found in true Holy Ghost filled apostolic revival churches, which I am a proud member! It's all about JESUS folks...don't be fooled by imposters!

Hide and Seek

Deut. 4:29 " But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him IF you seek Him with all your heart and soul"

The other day my pastor preached a sermon themed "Where Jesus is", and it got me to thinking ....Many people seek after a word form the Lord, but never hear it. Are they seeking the way that the word tells us to?

Often times we(mankind) relegate God to a Sunday and Wednesday entity. There are also those that call on His name during dire times, or when they " really needed something". How sad it is to think of our savior with such commonality. A supernatural God reduced to an after thought. Thinking on this my wife and I had an eye opening discussion. Why as a society have we stopped having an one on one relationship with God? Has He changed? The answer is no....He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What I discovered is simple ; throughout time we have became too independent. In the beginning they had to rely on God for food(i.e. manna), their homes, and their lives. God was a very central part of their lives. Now instead of turning to God people have turned to science and convenience. the general thought is: :"why go to an alter for repentance when you can turn on a television and find a motivational speaker telling you everything is good and you don't have to change for God to accept you? why pray for healing when you can take this miracle drug? why rely on God to provide when welfare can provide.....(ok.......I'll leave that one alone)."

Here's a news flash for some... God wants you to rely on him. He wants to provide for you. He wants to heal you!! Most of all he wants your prayer and worship. [Phil 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice Christ Jesus and have NO confidence in the flesh!!!"

I'm here to testify that God has always made a way in my life. Never has he let me down. He is my everything! I love him...... He is my provider, counselor and strength. I will always praise and worship Him. [Ps. 34:8 " oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him."

With love, Shawn

I HAVE BEEN TESTED

1 TH 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good...

Have you ever felt tested at every point in life? Thus is the season for me. Let me begin by saying this isnt a blog that I wrote to complain, but rather lift the name of Jesus. This morning I found out I'll be working yet again another Sunday. As much as I have discussed my need to be at church with my boss, he just doesnt understand, and scheduals me regularly...Ohh to walk in the world of the Godless.

I had to recently make a choice of friends in my previous church, and being obedient to God and living Holy. I love and miss my brothers and sisters, and feel tormented because they now face the same choices as myself. I pray Gods strength and understanding for them. In the end we all must answer for our lives.

The ultimate test, my daughter. She is now approaching her pre teen years, ( turns 12 this month) and lives with her mother. Let me just say this....I try to honor her mom, and show respect....but it is hard when she lives in sin with two men, and calls herself going to church and claims to be a Holy Ghost filled christian. My daughter seeks after God more than any kid I know, and yearns to live Holy, been babtised in Jesus' name, and speaks in tounges. I cringe because my daughter calls me crying because her mother cuts her hair, and makes her wear pants. The anger of a father wells up inside me, but the Holy Ghost in me tells me to lay it in His hands.

I am so thankful for my Jesus! He is my comforter. My renewer of hope. My strength when I have none of my own. I love you almighty Lord. THROUGH MY TESTS, I STILL REMAIN BLESSED!!!!!!!
